I am new to network marketing, aka MLM… what is the best way to recruit both people I know and people I do not know? and what is a good industry to get involved with? I joined and health and wellness company.

Many people join a network marketing business opportunity and immediately begin contacting people to sign up as a business builder. But is this really the best way to go? The NUMBER ONE REASON to recruit a downline is NOT to have your downline focus on finding more business builders.

This concept is so simple, I know. Yet most new networkers are so hesitant to actually sell anything that they find it much more comfortable to share the business opportunity instead.

Having this mindset is a BAD move for a number of reasons that are beyond the scope of this article.

But to be successful in network marketing, here is how you should think about your business.

Think of your business as a small sales force. Really no different than the sales team in any traditional business.

The primary goal of the sales team (that’s you) is to SELL the product. Hiring and training more salesmen (or in our case recruiting new business builders) only comes SECOND to selling the product.

I can almost guarantee that if you begin to put your focus on retailing product instead of on MLM recruiting you will find your business growing beyond your belief.
