A large number of people over the years, have been left frustrated because they joined an MLM company, or maybe even went hopping from opportunity to opportunity, only to fail, losing hundreds or even thousands in the process.

Pay attention!

And the key here is, who are you paying attention to?

You see, in our world of free speech, anybody can say more or less anything they want, but if you are listening to people who haven’t had success or who haven’t got things going yet, is what you’re listening to likely to be of much benefit or value to you? No.

Find someone in your business who has achieved the results you want to emulate and crawl under their wing. It doesn’t have to be your upline, just find someone who has what you want and do what they did.

Don’t listen to other reps who haven’t yet achieved what you want to achieve. If you can’t find anybody successful enough to listen to, only pay attention to what you hear at company training events and conference calls.

Secret # 2

Get excited!

You have to be in a company that you are passionate about with a product or service that excites you. It is imperative that you radiate your excitement to your prospects. They should be in no doubt that you believe you have the deal, the only deal in town worth looking at and you need to go out on a limb with pride and say so. You need to develop a ‘so what’ attitude. Some people will love what you do, others will hate MLM without really understanding it, So What!

Not everybody likes the same things, so get excited, tell the world and say cheerio to those who don’t like what you have to offer.

Secret # 3

Never quit!

Marc often talks about his mandatory meeting where he invited his 69 reps to a meeting in order to do some training and get them all fired up. Literally one person showed up and it was the person he had recruited the day before.

His MLM career could have ended there and then except for the fact that she was so excited, it didn’t matter that the other 68 didn’t show up, he caught her excitement. So never stop recruiting, stay with it until the bitter end, either get to the top of the compensation plan or drop dead trying.

So to recap, if you want to succeed in MLM, find someone in your company who has it going on and model what they do.

Get excited and don’t be afraid to share your excitement with everyone you know and meet. Some of them won’t like it, some of them will think you’re pretty weird, but consider that many others already think that, So What!

Finally, hang in there till the very end. You will often read that success is found just after disappointment, so never ever quit.

2. Who is training me?

Is he a recruiter for opportunity seekers? Or is she an old school MLM leader? They may be very successful, but that does not mean that you will be. If you look closely at their stories, you will find that they had a passion for pursuing the path that they did. Almost any path will work, if you pursue it with dedication for a long time. But is their path something you have a passion for?

Find trainers who are successful in marketing products and services; who have their own thriving businesses, and a track record of success. Their marketing tools will work for everyone, who is teachable and willing to work.

3. How will I be trained?

Are you receiving one way instruction, or interactive training? Can you ask questions and get answers? Ideally you should receive life interactive training in the comfort of your home. Tele-seminars and webinars are very popular these days, but you should be able to interact with your trainer to some degree.

Is the training for a limited amount of time or life-time? Markets and tools are changing rapidly these days, and you want to stay current. If you are going for a life-time program, see if your tuition is a one-time fee or a recurring payment. I have personally seen recurring fees of $ 97 per month for what was essentially access to website with monthly updates.
